Shot yesterday in my back yard. Not sure what this bird is; Anybody have an answer? Update: Thanks to another AW member, it has been established that this is a Cattle Egret. Thanks Pamela.
Lawrence, I have looked through about a hundred pictures of birds and nothing comes close, I thought it might be a gannet or a egret of sorts.. However, the peachy color is throwing me off. I will let you know if I do figure it out. Fantastic shot!! Are you near fresh water or salt?
Artist Reply: Hi Pamela and thanks for your comment. Also I appreciate your interest in trying to solve this mystery. The body of water in the photo is fresh water. Also that peachy color may be partially caused by the early morning sun; maybe more like a beige color. I too believe it might be some sort of egret.
