Two hearts are portrayed, one anatomical heart and another as the Sacred Heart. It represents the two aspects of my personality: medical and spiritual. They are attached in a diptych. This work won "Best of Show" in the Central Louisiana Healthcare Art Show.

Wonderful, David. I spent many hours as a teen in Houston watching open heart surgery and I remain fascinated by the body and its organs. I had the good fortune of seeing the Bodies exhibit last Fall and it was a wonderful merging of art and science that yielded a spiritual experience.
