I've got a new toy!! This is my very first piece using my new Graphic Tablet, a Genius MousePen... sure it's not a Wacom, but it's got an 8 X 6 working area as well as 1,024 levels of pressure sensitivity. All for the low low LOW price of $50.00. Brand new. I'm thrilled with it. For those of you who don't have a tablet and didn't think you could afford one, I'd suggest looking into it. This began as an experiment, and turned into a full fledged, if somewhat ill conceived, project. I wanted to play around with and get a feel for my tablet, as well as the program I just recently started using, Artweaver. Excellent program for digital painting, possessing many of the same attributes as Photoshop, but at a much much lower price: FREE. Let's see... $600 software or freeware?

Anyhow, all product endorsement aside, this piece was fun to do, and it didn't turn out horrible. It has it's flaws (don't they all) but I'll fall back on the “getting used to the pen” excuse. And if that fails, then there's always “no discernible talent”.
