This is the Grand Island East Light, in Michigan`s UP. I took the picture from the deck of a tour boat. The Light was built in 1868 and was taken out of service in 1913 after the Munising Range Lights were built. It doesn`t have a single trace of it`s original paint, and is s lonely site. At some point, I hope to upload a painting of this building, but it will take some time. I have always loved to paint old buildings and barns and such, but every one I ever did was either sold or given to one of my 4 adult children.
