Flos Florum

Expressive semi-abstract floral still life painting of an urn of purple roses in full bloom. Vibrant orange, purple, white, red, yellow, green and gold oils, texture, mixed media and silver leaf on board. In medieval times the rose was such a popular flower that it was referred to as ’Flos Florum’, meaning ’flower of flowers’, a symbol of both earthly and heavenly perfection. This artwork is displayed in an ornate wooden gold frame and ready to hang. Signed and dated by the artist.
