Officer Remembered

Officer Nguyen, a Sacramento Gang Detective, was shot in the neck in Dec'07, by a 16 year old gang affiliate. Nguyen was a newlywed and was about to celebrate his first Christmas with his new bride. This photo was taken the day of his funeral in downtown Sacramento.

Artist Reply: Funny you mentioned that Nancy. I was just reviewing the photo with a friend, and noticed the natural leading lines. It's amazing, how after you shoot so much, your eye just sets it up.
