The Last Sunset.

There is much talk these days about the effects of global warming, pollution, war, poverty, famine, etc, all the things we are doing to get rid of ourselves. But out beyond our solar system, astroids, comets, planets, and just plain rocks traveling between the stars which are much bigger threats. And there is nothing we can do about them,we just hope nothing hits us. Thoughts of this prompted this image. And the doom & gloom that goes with it. It seemed only a moment since we were watching the glorious tropical sunset. The sun sank beneath the horizon,it was night and before us was the moment of truth. A fireball of immense proportions had been waiting in space,a new sun was rising, but this one would never set,and even if it did,we will never see it. So we just wait our doom, take pictures no one will ever see, nowhere to run, nowhere to hide, maybe make peace with our gods. In the moment ...............is now.
