AND...The second image as promised in my first post this morning. Part of " The project " done by myself in 84/5 as a student . The upper image is a work done with Ink and Raispheder (not sure how to write it ,sorry :-)..it's not a Rapidograph ) and a ruler. Very difficult to control the media. The bottom image is the main part of my project. Dedicated once more to Bram. !! Copyrights (c) Nira Dabush

That's a very beautiful image, in terms of subject and intricacies of the cross hatching and shading, would make for a lovely print for sale.

Bram Veiler sounds so Dutch! I love your project and your pen-'n-ink work is magnificent Nira!

Artist Reply: Yes..Olga..Bram is dutch..at least he was born in Holland and studied there...He came to Israel...and build his life here...The next time I'll talk with him on the phone..I'll give him the link to these posts :-) I'm sure he'll be happy to view it :-)..some enjoyed his project..some had real difficulties with it...I think it was most important to start with such project, to get the best base. Have yourself a lovely weekend...Nira

That "TOP" picture doesn't look easy to do.....even with a rapidograph pen.......which I use all the time.....Beautifully done!

Artist Reply: Hello Thom...It's TRUE..It wasn't easy to do, especially using that Raispheder ...I used to have 2 sets of Rapidographs also...undoubtedly I gave it away, because I simply love colour :-) and to work with colours...What sometimes you must do as student, you don't have to later in life :-))...I find these tools are more for Graphic Designers such as yourself ;-)...but of course some artists might enjoy this kind of art. Thanks so much..enjoy your weekend,Nira

Love your works Nira.. neat to see the progression in the posting below - and the above artwork is WONDERFUL! You are certainly multi talented my dear friend. And the word "Raispheder', you are referring to a type of ink pen yes? similar to the "Rotring Rapidograph".. You have done fantastic technical drawing - It is very cool! :o)

Artist Reply: Hello Les my friend...Glad you love my works. Raispheder is the name of the tool I used , in this work above... I could not find it in a dictionary / Babylon. It's kind of a pen for Ink...YES...It's difficult to control it..you put inside the ink and there's kind of small screw , that with moving it, you can make a thin line or heavier. You can use it also with gouache by the way. For most of us ,then it was very difficult to control or use..some would prefer to work with the Rapidograph , which is a lot easier...But Bram didn't allow it then :-)... Thanks so much, have yourself a splendid weekend..full of positive vibe , hugs Nira :-)
