Stonehenge

Acrylics on paper. Based on a photograph taken on a trip to England when we visited this wonderful monument. Only by actually standing alongside can you really appreciate what went into the building of this!

Nice depiction of the site. I saw visited it about fifteen years ago. I was disappointed that we couldn't get too near the stones, but it was still amazing to see.

Artist Reply: i have to agree with you Dan...........I know this painting concentrates on the henge, but you really have to see the surrounding landscape with all the burial mounds to appreciate just how important this whole area must have been to the ancient people :o))
