I love the way you presented your message about smoking. What a wonderful surreal and powerful statement!! I wish this was on a billboard given how dangerous cigarettes are. My mother wrote a book before the surgeon general's report in 1966 when he revealed that smoking could cause cancer, heart disease and stroke. The title of her book, Smoking is For Suckers sums it up. The men were most upset when she told them that smoking could also lead to baldness, impotence and infertility. They quit more for those reasons than the diseases that could end their lives. In her generation, smoking was accepted without fear or information about the damage smoking does to our organs. My mother smoked three packs a day for 25 years. I wonder how that affected the baby boomers like me. She quit cold turkey and the book was published and in stores before the Surgeon Generals report. I had no interest in smoking, but if I did those butts that appear to be jumping out of the screen would be coming at me. She was very commited to the cause that unfortunately contributed to her stoke at seventy three when she was active and had many more years of quality life. She predicted her own demise so I am very passionate about this issue and thank you for portraying the dangers in such a dramatic and creative way.

Artist Reply: Wow...Julie, your mother sounds like a very intelligent woman and ahead of your time. I'm sorry she had a stroke at a young age. Thank you for takiing the time to comment on my work in such a lovely way that you did. I really appreciate all you words. Linda :)
