Angel and 'The Family of Man'

I've been asked to create a series of angel paintings for The Soulscape House Gallery. Thank you for looking at this image. I'm attempting to make my angels both male and female as that is how I see them. I'd really appreciate your comments...perhaps how you compare these with my fairy paintings.... Cheers, Ann

Love this vision ...your art is amazing ...

Artist Reply: Thank you Elizabeth. John Updike wrote in his capacity as an Art Critic ' Art should body-forth the idyllic' . I aim to convey this same view as I think that is what art should do. Your comment much appreciated.

The wings look very translucent, and remind me of a dragonfly's wings! I like the graduated color in the sky, but feel it would be more believable if one could not see all the lines.

Artist Reply: Thank you Julie. I much appreciate youre time and thoughts

I like the concept and the coloring. The feet however could be a bit more extended pointing downward as they appear to be in the standing position..{?} the globe and halo seem as though the halo should be up over the globe[rather than over the face ?] since the perspective is looking upwards at the angel...the angle of the gown reminds me almost of the body of a fish sort of . Definitely unique and a departure from conventional displays. I like it overall. Being unique is key in creativity which this certaining is creative and unique!

Artist Reply: Very many thanks Ave

Blesssings from above... we sure can use that sometimes. A very intriging painting Ann. I think that your angels are more adultish than your fairies. Your fairies touch the child in us. And that is a good thing.

Artist Reply: Thanks Gabrielle for this thoughtful comment. I appreciate it.
