Restaurant II

When first painting "Restaurant" I returned on consective days to complete the work. As often happens in autumn I found the quality of the light different, golden and warmer this particular day and the sky a more vivid blue. I completed "Restaurant" but kept thinking of the other lighting and how the painting might have been; so came "Restaurant II" done impasto with heavier paint. Not quite Campbell's Soup cans or MM, but....
