Albino Pink Lady Slipper - Cypripedium acaule

The orchid known as Pink Lady's Slipper, Two-leaved Lady's Slipper or Moccasin Flower occurs in the eastern third of the United States and northwards into Canada, up to very close to the arctic circle. The model of this painting was a single specimen of the exceedingly rare albino mutant found in New Jersey, USA. in a massive Pink Lady's Slipper population.
