Once upon a time, when i was a young girl, before our silly governemt decided to adapt school calendar to northern Europe standards -bah, going to school when it is still warm enough to swim!!! -, school used to start on October the 1st. On my path to school I used to walk on thousands of horsechestnut husks and often I came home with pockets and bag full of these shiny albeit unedible fruits. Still now, handling one of these fruits just out of the husk makes me feel like a child again :) Acrylics on canvas. 50*70 cm.

Fantastic artwork Cristina, just love it!!! I'm a bit like that with seashells, which rekindles stories of my childhood to pass on to my children!!Alberto D'Assumpcao 05 Oct 2007
