Ok, I'll admit it, I have considered....more than once....giving out apples as Halloween treats. This is because I believe them to be a nutritious, healthy alternative to candy and has nothing to do with the fact that my husband is an orchardist and we have thousands of extra apples by the end of October. Clearly our little corgi friends don't appreciate fruit any more than my would-be tricker-treaters would. Original 4 x 4 gallery-wrapped mini canvas in the private collection of K. Kellerman.
