'Big Foot and White Hawk'-Minneconjou Sioux-1872

This handsome couple is Chief Big Foot and his wife,White Hawk, Minneconjou Sioux. Big Foot was also known as Si Tanka and Spotted Elk. Big Foot was Sitting Bull's half brother. They were both gunned down (along with around 300 women,children and infants) by the 7th Cavalry at the Massacre at Wounded Knee, December 29,1890, and buried in a mass grave.
