Artist Reply: Thanks Ari, Yes, the pomagranate played a role in several religions, interesting background & history. Some people ate it because it was believed to purge the body of longing. In mythology it is the symbol of fertility. I painted it because I thought it would be a challenge and I love the colors

Hi Melissa. Good timing for this piece considering it is a traditional food for Rosh Hashana. Nicely done.
