LION'S HEAD SPRING AND GARDEN IN EUREKA SPRINGS

This is a summer garden on my walk that calms me and lets me watch the walkers. It stimulates all my senses and spiritual sense. A great place to give gratitude for all that I have and grace I experience. Paintography by Michael Forbus. ENGLISH PROVERB 'GRATEFULLNESS IS THE POOR MAN'S PAYMENT.'

What magical place do you live that has such wonderful places to walk in? I am having hard time deciding if this is a real picture or a fabricated one. On one hand there is a lot of texture that would normally be absent in a lot of digital work, but on the other hand if an artist was truly in tune with detail, they might include all that detail. This is gorgeous, but it has left me confused. lol.

Artist Reply: Therese, I live in an artist's community that is renovated starting from over 100 years ago and these are springs originating in Alaska that are landscaped by a local genius named Don E. It is called Eureka Springs. Ar. in the Ozark mountains. Great place to live. 3000 people and 300 artists and many musicians. This is a photograph of the springs as is all my work and I paint them in software programs using a Wacom tablet to paint with that puts a stylus back in your hand instead of a clumsy mouse. My thanks to you for all your great comments. Michael

I love these spots Michael. Beautiful work too.

Artist Reply: Thea, I rest there on my walks and just sit and think. The smells are so lovely and the passers by so friendly. My thanks to you for your kindness and you friendship. Michael

Great colors and view!

Artist Reply: Thanks so much, Jerry, it is a place I love to sit and watch. It is my voyeur's seat. I look at the world pass by and wonder about things. My gratitude to you, Jerry. I appreciate it. Michael

Beautiful as usual, Miguel. What state is it in?

Artist Reply: Lauren, this is in the village I live in, an artist and Victorian village called Eureka Springs Ar. Ten per cent of the population are creative sorts, artists and musicians. Great old town with lovely springs and gardens. Google Eurekaspringsartistregistry and you will see some others work. Great town. Thank you so much and hope this finds you well and happy. Michael

Your work and style is really amazing Michael...this is just gorgeous. It looks like such a wonderful place!!

Artist Reply: Laurie, thank you so much. It is a little magical village. I live in a cabin outside the town on the side of a mountain. Far enough for the silence and close enough to enjoy all the great shows and art events. Thanks again for you kindness and generosity in your comments. Michael
