Our hired man decided to grow a couple of acres of corn this year and bless his heart, brought me several thousand ears (OK maybe it wasn't quite that much but it seemed like it). So adding that to the meager harvest from my own garden, I spent the entire weekend putting up corn for winter. Though I am truly grateful for his generosity of all that delicious produce, I don't want to see another ear of corn any time soon! My dogs however had a grand old time sneaking the cobs from the bucket I was saving for the horse. After hours of cutting corn off stinking hot little cobs, I stepped out on the porch for a breath of cool air only to discover a hideous scene of the crime--a yard strewn with corn carcasses in various states of dismemberment and two smiling, bloated dogs. Shame on them. Thus, the inspiration for another corgi painting....... Original 4 x 4 gallery-wrapped mini canvas in the private collection of L. Tafralian.
