Surreal Grapes

I am fascinated by color. I am fascinated by form. I am truly fascinated when the two coalesce into a magnificent oneness. As if they were meant to be that way. It startles me when I see some wonderment that defies my explaining. Why a subject interests me and others don't. It is the essence of the creative mind to explore, to unfurl new ideas and to have them burst forth in an explosion of colored atoms radiating their vibrations on the chalkboard of my mind. I will never grow tired of seeing colors explode. I will never grow tired of the movement of forms. I will never grow old as long as I can dream my dreams and paint them with my oils . visionary imagist "Joey"

Beautiful work Joey

Artist Reply: Renata: I love color that is vibrant and electric. Like exploding atoms on my canvas. My oils still after all these years amaze me in what they hold in that tube. I'm sure you feel the same way. Thanks!!

When a colour or form or a combination of both suddenly catch the eye there is this connection with the brains or with the emotions one has. We are not always aware of this...why has one a favorite colour and why? Because there is a connection somewhere. Only to name it can be difficult. A very beautiful painting of grapes, Joey. What is interesting is why some are are free and one is (still?) "bound".

Artist Reply: Gabrielle: i have always wondered why I like a certain color or painting more than another. And I agree with what you said about that process. I always look with anticipation to your insights. Thanks for being my artist friend.

Like Picasso already said, it takes a long time to get young. It's really great that you share your colourful dreams with us, Joey! And that we can learn so much from them.

Artist Reply: Anneke: Your wonderful reference to Picasso makes me filled with delight. It is a rare thing for an adult to remember to dream dreams like a child. It is how we must enter into the celestial space, to think like little children. Your comments become inspiration for me. thank you deeply my friend!!

I too think colour is magical... Keep dreaming and keep painting VI.... Tasty looking grapes...

Artist Reply: Ann: My dreams lead me and allow me to see the unseen. It then becomes my ask to unfold unto the canvas the memories of the last night's sleep. Thanks for sharing. Stop back!

Joey, this is great! I love color, too. You love color, and it shows in your art.

Artist Reply: Carliss: I really enjoy the vibrancy of straight, unmixed colors. They explode with a brilliance that mixing white diminishes. Thanks for stopping into my little cyber gallery. Stop back again!
