The Life in a Painting

LARGER VERSION: http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/61513028/ Here is the final version of Valyen's commission. There was no original concept on her behalf - she told me to do whatever I wished. And so, without any idea, I began to draw myself painting... and creativity sprung fourth. Man. I love the outcome. I only wish I was better at backgrounds, but practice makes perfect, doesn't it. <3 I was originally going to leave Valyen as having just sprung to life from the canvas as if she were never made of paint, but instead the idea came to me to capture the moment in time - that moment between paint and reality, and so her previously painted bits fly with the motion. ---- Time Spent: 17 hours Valyen © Valyen-fluff.deviantart.com Artwork © 2007 http://www.artwanted.com/strydewolf. Artist Reply: Thank you! it's the first time I've worked in these restraints, it was a bit different, but lots of fun. :D
