Timothy McAninch 25 Sep 2007

Nice texture and sense of space. I'm reminded of a sculpture I made called "War Head" with the intention of making a statement of the futility of war. A youth came up to me while I was working on it and they said that it was great, "Because it has guns on it"

Alexandra Dvinitninova 25 Sep 2007

This is incredible. David is right - you don't see too many of these social statements on this site. A nice treat!

Barry Huyett 16 Sep 2007

amazing photo and great title!!

Artist Reply: Thank you very much Barry.

David Holcombe 15 Sep 2007

There is a certain mystery here that compels the viewer to look twice. I like subjects which tackle large social issues. They are somewhat rare on this site, although perhaps its just a sampling error. The stonework and wood create contrasting feels. The door seems to beckon "Beyond War," a constant, retreating dream.

Artist Reply: Thank you very much David!!
