Since I can remember I have loved Science Fiction and Science Fantasy books as well as the superstars of fantasy art like Boris Vallejo, Julie Bell, Judson Huss and too many others to mention. The great heroes and bizarre creatures from imaginative literature is numerous. In this photograph, I imagine a a world of ethereal beauty where few who arrive want to leave its enchanted borders. In several of my photos I have described alien landscapes where our hero Ged looks for the lost Princess light years away from earth in various solar systems. Like most fantasies, many princes armed with magical swords set out to find the daughter of the King of the land. The search has been a way for me to create stories that often have a subtext about the lack of virtue and honor of many earthlings who kill their own species and continually engage in destructive wars motivated by power and greed. Ged wants to find Lirazel, the daughter of the king of Elf Woods. Like many beautiful princesses, Lirazel is more beautiful than any earthly woman. Unbound by time, she never ages and retains her youthful appearance over the centuries. I caught a glimse of her in the farthest reaches of this magical realm dressed in an ornate and floral-patterned robe. Through all the hardship, she still has retained her sapphire-colored crown. Conflict may arise when our hero finds the princess since I was told by one of the elves that Lirazel's father is devastated by the loss of his wife and perceives his daughter more as a possesion of his Kingdom without the freedom to marry a Prince of her choice or have any control over her destiny. As the elves go about their daily routine, they are mystified by the face of a red faced man with dark glasses. I will let you know when I have more information about this mysterious creature.
