TAPS (Trans Alaska Pipeline System) in Fairbanks. We stopped at this pump station on our way back from panning for gold. This station is 450 miles from Prudhoe Bay, where the pipeline starts, and 350 miles from Valdez, where it ends. Oh, about the gold, we retrieved enough to make a charm for a bracelet and a matching charm for a necklace. Both for my wife since I don't wear jewelry, except of course for my wedding ring.
