Thanks for your kind compliments. The story behind it is: I was sketching the house and porch and the kids had walked out on the porch to watch me. I knew they wouldn't stand still long enough for me to sketch them...but they did let me take a photo and I added them later.....The kids are older now about 6 years I think and have moved. They lived with their father Mike Dahl at this house which they rented. I drove by one day and they were gone. I hope it was for a better place. That was the only time that I met Mike and the kids. Their mother actually saw the painting at a show I had in Shelbyville,Ky., and wanted to buy the painting. I held it for her for a few months and never heard back.
