Barred Rock

This is Henny Penny, my favorite hen. She follows you around the yard fully expecting you to turn things over for her and so she can get the bugs and worms underneath. Right now the chickens are all begging for us to throw them some bing cherries from the tree and here she's saying "Quit messing around with that shiny thing and give me my cherries!" She's quite the bossy old hen :-)

I love chickens! she is a beauty....I had some as a child, and they do indeed have their own personality!
