Memorial to Dennis and my many lost friends.

In memory of SP4 Dennis Arthur Stephens 1949-1970, killed in Cambodia. Panel 09W, line 045, on the Veterans Memorial Wall, Washington D.C. Dennis was my good buddy and we grew up together from kindergarten to 11th grade, when he moved away. He was my first crush, and my first kiss. My heart broke when he was killed by small arms fire, and still breaks today. Dennis was one of three good friends of mine who died as a direct result of the Vietnam War. This Eagle stone is encased in glass at the Royal Oak, Michigan VFW , where Dennis and I grew up. God Bless all Veterans.

Karen, my heart goes out to you, and I can almost feel the pain of your loss. We are here today to comfort those who are left, and pay tribute to our brave and fallen heroes, of this nation, whether long ago or in the present. Hopefully through intelligent thinking, and communication this thing called war will end forever. I've never seen this rock, and it is beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
