Portaguese Cistern, El-Jadida

El-Jadida was not on our schedule even though I was hoping we would stop. The Portaguese Cistern normaly has water in it and when photographed will reflect the ceiling arches. When we got there, no water and this strange vine growing out of the center basin. It turned out the vine was a rubber movie prop and the cistern was drained getting ready for film making. We didn't get the same shots most people do, but we did get shots that most everyone will not./Property of Don Roberts
