Prefect....what more can I say!!! I have an elephant woodburning I did for my stepson (listed on my page, my first wood burning)...I wish I would have had this for a model! I completely agree with you concerning pricing! You have to sometimes underprice in order to move the pieces and get established. I am having the same problem. I know what my art & time is worth, it is just finding the buyers to pay that price; but you should have no problem moving yours! If I had the money I would be buying some prints of yours...which for me to even consider is a lot and I hope you take it as the compliment it was meant to be! ~ Valarie P.S. This truly looks like a b & w photo...AWESOME!!

this is sheila again. (the only way i could add to my comments here) i had to laugh when i sent that 'cause that was a definite case of "the pot calling the kettle black". i can dish it out but i'm just as bad for underpricing my work. i swear artists fall into 1 of 2 catagories. ones who are full of themselves with enough ego to share with 10 mere mortals or us, who apparently have so little ego or confidence in our own abilities we are constantly justifying WHY we undersell our work( i think it must be the english in us as we do seem to be a self-depricating lot, lol)
Artist Reply:   Thanks Sheila for your kind words. I guess some people would say I am underselling my art. I tried selling them at a slightly higher price scale, but they never moved! You have to find that middle ground to help establish your work. You can then start to sell a few and hopefully create enough of an interest where you can then look to increase the price. I have total confidence in what I create, if I didn't, I would bother! My art medium (Pen & Ink) is a tough one to sell, it's very much a niche market. People either love it or hate it! Most of my art is created for me, and if people want to own one, thats great. The key to it is simple, create something YOU love. This will show through in what you create and hopefully someone will be inspired to give you money for it. Thanks again, Ethan

oh for cry'in out loud ethan! no wonder the darn thing sold. whoever got it KNEW they were getting a steal at that price. either that or that dollar sign was meant to be a pound but even then you undersold yourself by a whole heap. having done a couple of elephants in scratchboard i know how much work goes into these pieces. give yourself more credit. you deserve it.
Artist Reply:   Hey Sheila, just added some close-ups. You reminded me to do it, I had forgot all about this one! thanks, Ethan
