i thought this was scratch board when i first saw it. what kind of paper or board did you use? i've got a couple sets of watercolour pencils and it never occured to me to use them in this way. it's a great effect. you did a lovely job.

You made the subject "people". Do you think he might have a problem with that? I hear Westy's don't like being anthropomorphized. It's a beautiful portrait though, just don't let him see the site and it'll be fine.
