brilliant cathy.....ive seen some applique and mixed media and not been overly impressed but this is a whole different thing. would love to see one 'in the flesh'.

Artist Reply: Good Lord! You're from Cornwall! I lived in Newlyn for 8 years! My parents still live there. What a small world this is. If only I'd known sooner because I had some paintings over Christmas in Mid Cornwall Galleries in Par, nr St Austel. You could have seen them in the flesh there! I really like some of your photos because you zoom in and look at the detail and texture which is obviously something I do. Stay in touch and when I have another show down there, I'll let you know. Take care. Cathy

FANTASTIC fine art.....pretty background colour

Artist Reply: Thank you Bianca. The background also has a texture to it as I used papier mache but this doesn't really show up.

Stunning work, where does string come in?

Artist Reply: Thanks Cathy. Strange writing to Cathy! In 'broccenis' the string part is one of the bits in the centre of the work. It makes it come out and gives the painting depth. It's really hard to show this in a photo. The background is also textured as I used papier mache. Keep up your good work too!
