This is another portrait of a longhaired chihuahua I did for a private client. Actually I painted this one first but he looked so sad. I took the reference photo for this painting shortly after he was groomed and he must have had enough and just wanted to go home. (The quality of the photo wasn't very good but I will add it for comparison.)I added an extra paw (as he decided to lay on it and I changed the background to a country style setting) The client sent me some additional photos of the dog and I painted the second portrait also shown in my portfolio. Prints of this painting are available with the owner's permission. The original was painted with acrylic paints on a 8 1/2"x 11" cardstock paper.
