Plastic Ball Gown

Sewn from square sheets of clear and matte blue plastic, this historically accurate gown has a corset to match (made from 225 mustard packets, with grommets and lacing on both sides). The garment is a women's size 5. Skirt is multi-layered with matte and clear blue plastic. Matching bows on blouse sleeves and front; ruffled details on collar and sleeves. But I'll bet it would be HOT to wear. :) Another exquisite piece---truly twisted in just the right way!

Artist Reply: Thanks Charles :) Yes, the gown is quite stuffy (but I suppose if one wanted to shed some pounds, this would be the way to do it, no?) I have plans for some more pieces like this...it was definitely worth the wait. I also love the surrealness (is that a word?) of your drawings. Myself? I never "doodle" on paper, though I probably should, and so I've never found the freedom that your works seem to express. Thanks so much for the inspiration! --Jamie

Artist Reply: Thanks...It did take quite a bit of time! I'm not sure now how it ever got done, but here it is! Some day I'll make the "stays" for it, to keep the skirt nice 'n poofy...
