Today Rebel II is deceased at the age of 29 years, he died due to old age, and kidney failure. One day we walked to the barn, he laid in his stall. Twenty nine years ago Mr. Fremont asked me to come in the yard, and walk Reb back to his stall, and rub him down. The colt was for sale. I went home enthusiastic knowing I had $80.00 dollars in the bank. For a week I just kept talking about the colt. I never knew that there was private conversations between my folks and Mr. Fremont until years later. He pulled into our driveway, and the colt was on a lead rope. It turned out that the sale price of Reb was not $80 but $2,500.I still remember the first show, which was in M C Ia where I participated in the Jr.Fino Class, and Performance Class. This was a great start to many memorable PF Shows to come. He ended up taking Regional Jr. and Sub Jr. Titles but the most memorable moment was when he went to the National PF in 1991.
