Ryde Queen

Digital Photograph copyright Peter Rivron. The Ryde Queen paddle steamer was built in 1936, she operated a ferry service between Portsmouth, and Ryde on The Isle of Wight, withdrawn from service in 1970 she opened as a night club where I spent most of my miss spent youth, oh what fun we had, she can still be found lying on this spot at Island harbour. Sadly since taking this photo her funnel has collapsed, the ship may be fading away, but my fond memories live on. For more images please visit www.solentphotography.com
