Artist Reply: Thank you very much Jerry. I totally agree with your view on drawing being the true backbone for an artist. That is what I started out with and worked the most on during my teenage and young adult years. In fact, most of the pencil drawings I have shown on here are from the mid eighties when I was still perfecting. I tend to go through phases it seems with my mediums. A few days/months/years can be spent obsessivly working on pencil then onto coloured pencil and ink..oil paint and finally digital and back. It is also a truism that like any muscle your drawing skills need to be flexed regularily or they weaken but with enough work it comes back to you easily enough. Pardon my ramblings here but I had always been inspired by your words and works..even if this is the first time I may had voiced my admiration. Cheers !
