DALE CHIHULY'S CLAMSHELL OF BLOWN GLASS digital manipulation and photography by Michael Forbus
The way to love anything is to realize that it might be lost. (G. K. Chesterton)
It's a sea shell! I love it! This is an interesting mix of subjects...on one hand you have nature and all of its beauty, then on the other hand you have technology adding its own kind of loveliness to this picture. Very cool.
Artist Reply: Therese, I might be doing a large collection of images for a collector of this glass. I go see him in Florida in a couple weeks. Lucky me if it happens. My gratitude to you for your kindness. Michael
Artist Reply: Jamie, thanks so much. I might be doing some work for a collector of this glass. He is building and donating a huge collection of Chihuly work to a wing of a museum and likes the paintings I do of the work. I would have to go to St. Petersburg, Florida but my kids live there and it is on the Gulf side, nice and warm. So hopefully that will work out. My appreciation for your sweet friendship. Michael
hm miguel, really this is so pretty, don't ever wait, if you want it get it, do it if you feel the inspiration, then surely, if lost, twas of no blame to yourself
This is gorgeous Miguel!! I love the glassy effect of the clamshell!! Chihuly is magnificent, and you are a master of digital manipulation!! Excellent work!!
Dear Michael,
I agree with Sara's idea/suggestion. T'would be.
what is so fascinating to me is that Chilhuly's work is so far out already. that you can take it even *further* is really something!
Imagine...outdoing Dale!
