The Sky Should be as Inviting as Your Smile

If you could see the original painting you might very possibly make out the face I painted over just to the left of the jug-like image. This suggested the title, though the person I painted over was the true inspiration for the piece. I hasten to add that I painted over the face simply because I couldn't do justice to her smile and for no other reason. This is a 16 by 20 inches acrylic painting on gallery-wrapped canvas. More authentic Original Jones Art coming from Austin, Texas.

Cool painting, Charles! Might have misset it while was dipriver from entry.

Artist Reply: Thanks, Nikolay! A foolish 'younger' man painted this one. He got older but was always a wiseguy. Now he figures everything worked out for the best and he got this neat paining as a self-made consolation prize. Life is strange. :)

Great Abstract Artistry, It could pass off as one of Picasso's lost Art,

Artist Reply: Thanks for the great compliment, Al. I'm afraid it wouldn't be mistaken for a Pablo piece by anyone who is well acquainted with his work. BUT it might be recognized as one of mine some day down the line. I wouldn't mind that. Hope all is going well with you. :)

Strong work Charles . Bravo ! : )

Artist Reply: Thanks, Dave. it was motivated by strong emotion, so I'm happy someone noticed it again. I really want to paint 'freely' again but I'm not sure of the when. :)

Awsome Charle very colorful abstract expressionist piece

Artist Reply: Well, not in the purist's sense can it be called 'abstract expressionism' but it's pretty abstract otherwise, Ray. Thanks for commenting. I need to paint more, I think. ;)

Very powerful work, Charles!! Very nicely composed, wonderful colors !!

Artist Reply: This piece came about spontaneously, something akin to spontaneous combustion, as my whole being seemed to need an outlet. Art has always been both an intellectual and an emotional outlet for me, Helena. I try to balance the two, but sometimes the emotional element gets the better of me. I'm fairly sure that, knowing your work, you can relate to this. Hope you are doing great. :)
