Marriage was ordained by God and in that it says in Genesis 2:24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. In our traditional marriages the hand of the Bride is given to the Groom by the Bride's Father with his blessing. This wedding was different for me and now in reflecting very deep beyond the actual ceremony. Jeffrey (the Groom) took the hand of his Bride, his rib (Schwanda)from the protecting hand of her father at the point where the flowers appeared to bloom on the pews(Eden)...this was midway to the altar ... they then took each step passing friends and family ... and lastly Mothers and Fathers cleaving to each other and embracing their destiny committed before a Holy God.
