Dr. and Mrs. Van Oppen commissioned their coat of arms. The family is originally from Holland and Dr. Van Oppen immigrated to the United States where he practices medicine in Pineville, Louisiana. He and his wife attend many cultural activities in the Central Louisiana area. They were very pleased with their coat of arms.

I love the way you handled this and enjoyed the story about the chairmaker. This is a serendipitous posting for me since I was asked this week to do paintings of two family crests with possible multiples as gifts for family members! I love to do new things and will accept this task, but offer prints on the multiples.
