Barrell shaped ice crystals in the upper level atmosphere "bend" the moon's rays to create the halo around the moon. Since the ice crystals are the same shape, every occurrence of the rings is always about the same size. I tried throwing myself in the shot to give the "halo" around my head. Just fooling around.
