During the warmer months of the year, Evans Creek ORV Park is a favorite place for jeepers and the like to negotiate the terrain. This old logging road has been transformed into deep ruts, mud holes and unimaginable angles that are a delight to those who like that sort of adventure. But by late fall and throughout the winter it is a quiet, peaceful winter wonderland that very few people visit. We have never seen anyone when we have hiked/snowshoed this area. Only once did we see a park ranger at the parking lot who was very surprised to see us. On this day the sun made occasional appearances and the winds were calm. We dumped the snowshoes about half way to this landing, (they were more trouble than they were worth), and the snow wasn't that deep. Mt. Rainier is supposed to be nestled above the far V in the foothills and we did get a glimpse of the top for a short time, (2nd shot). Thanks for visiting my portfolio. I very much appreciate all the comments to my site even tho I may not reply. I'm looking forward to spending a little more time here at AW... but not too much. You all know how time consuming this site can be. Hope you all have a wonderful and creative 2007!! May all your wishes come true and peace be with you always!!
