This is my latest soft pastel painting inspired by the TV programme Strictly Come Dancing, I saw a couple dancing the Argentine Tango and knew I just had to paint it. I've deliberately kept it simple and loose with minimal detail and no background to try and convey the movement and drama of this dance. It's, traditionally, meant to be danced by Gauchos and ladies of the night on the street of Argentine towns.
