Photos taken in September 06, 5:00 a.m...just before YOM - KIPUR,The most holly day for Jewish,At forgiveness days...at a local Synagog.According to Jewish belief, each person, must at those days ask for forgiveness from ALL The people she/he knows, even if he/she does not remember wrong that he/she did.I'm not religious...AND,I didn't visit the synagog years..but i find this tradition very important one.In general,i think people must forgive themselves for wrongs, they may think they did first ,and then their friends...Today 8th candle of Hanukkah ,the last day of Hanukkah celebration of LIGHT...Happy Hanukkah ..Merry Christmas ..happy holidays..WITH LOVE TO ALL OF YOU...NIRA...Copyrights MYSELF.

Shalom. It looks like the interior of so many fine little synagogues, once scattered all over Eastern Europe. I remember seeing the collection of Torahs from the synagogues all over Czechoslavakia that had been collected by the SS for their proposed museum of degenerate art. It was mind-boggling. One of those Torahs, from somewhere in Hungary, ended up in my sister and brother in laws synagogue in the Bay Area of California. Such a journey.Reba McDonald 22 Dec 2006
