John Travolta Portrait

Original Size: approximately 9" x 12" medium: pencil (with black graphite for the dark areas...) This is a pencil portrait of actor John Travolta. This was how he looked in the late 80's/early 90's, and he appears to have put on some pounds now! While he has done some good films I really enjoyed (Broken Arrow, Face Off, Grease, Swordfish, etc. ) by far my favorite film starring John Travolta is "Saturday Night Fever". Not only does it remind me of NYC in the late 70's/80's (The Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, Staten Island...), but it is a very insightful & touching coming-of-age story of a youth looking for his place in the world. A true classic, plus I love the disco music soundtrack (and make NO APOLOGIES for it...! It's great dance music!)!! Hope you like this piece.
