We have a cottage on a lake with loons. They are wonderful birds to watch as they cruise the lake. Ann

Looking at your water reflections, you make it look so easy. This is great.

Artist Reply: Thanks so much Marcia.

this is beautiful work, the reflection and colors are wonderful. I have not seen or heard one Loon since I have lived in Wisconsin, hope someday I will.

Love the colours in this one, our ducks here are just brown!

Artist Reply: Hi Virginia, loons are such unique water birds. They aren't in the duck family that I know of, just a breed of their own. Their colouring and calls are like no other bird, at least in this region. Here is a link http://www.ns.ec.gc.ca/wildlife/loons/images.html to a web page so you can see some photos and hear the wonderful and unique sounds they make. Thanks for your kind comments and interest, Ann
