Bonsai: Tranquility

I did this picture for my husband. While serving overseas in Afghanistan, there's not much 'tranquility' to be found--hence the 'memory refresher' of calmer days here back on the homefront.

This is so refreshing! Beautiful watercolor! Love the light in it!

Artist Reply: Thanks for your comment, Rita! I had fun in this one using some masking fluid for the highlights on the screen in the window--usually I'm painting around every highlight and found this new medium exciting with the possibilities. :) -Kerra

this is wonderful!! looks like it's about to walk away!!

Artist Reply: Thanks for your comment, Michelle! This little Bonsai really does look like a little man's body---it's a distant 'tree' we got for my husband a few years back as an attempt to bring some tranquility to our, er, um, rather rambuncious home, (we have three boys). :) Hope your day goes great! -Kerra
