Midnight Dreamer Studio A long time ago, in the heat of the Arabia dessert sun, a harty dessert horse was born, with a legacy all his own....The Arabian horse is one of the oldest known breed. They were small and beautiful yet very very strong, they had a different look than the show horses we see these days.I have been studying arabian horses since I was about 12....I love to share my love for horses with you :) I hope you like this portrait that I drew as a tribute to the horses of long ago :)

Those hardy, little horses still exist, though those you find in the halter ring showcase the head more than the whole horse. You might be interested in the work of Shary B. I share your love of horses and the need to protect them when their lives are threatened by greed and cruelty. I have some small statues of painted horses and part of the proceeds are given to charity to protect these special animals. I put a photo on aw of a mustang (of course with the engine etc. given the artist's play on the horse +car to represent this wonderfful breed's power and our need to protect them from human greed and consumption.
