the main drawing--the woman and the fire she holds her hand over--were originally drawn in one of my notebooks while i had thoughts of the story of sleepy hollow running through my head. the editing and additions were done in PSP. most of the effects are glass and lacquer (and on some parts, several lacquer-ings). you cannot see her face, but it almost seems like it's still there, just barely peeking out from behind her hair. although i was originally thinking of geomancy (the divination art of interpreting drawings and figures traced in the sand/dirt/ashes/earth and patterns created in nature) when i drew this, it seems to be that this witch is partial to pyromancy (can't guess? divination using fire!)
