The Night the Mountains Cried

This stained glass panel measures 16 x 22. It is dedicated to those who were swept away in Nelson county Virginia on the night of August 19, 1969 when hurricane Camille dumped 30 inches of rain on the beautiful mountains of central Virginia. This panel was auctioned off Saturday evening at a fund raiser for the Endstation Theatre Company which is producing a play about the storm and Nelson county. Visit their website www.endstationtheatre.org for more information.

I'm very lucky, this piece was purchused for me as a christmas gift from my parents at the endstation raffle. It now hangs in the window of my stairwell and is the focal point of that space. I love the peice, the mountains are so beatiful when the morning sun shines through. I am vey grateful for the artists support of Endstation Theatre.
